INCITIAS 2025 Year in Review

Holger Kelle

Growth, Delivery and Global Execution

2025 marked a year of strong growth and delivery for INCITIAS, reflecting sustained demand for our advisory, engineering and original equipment (OEM) capabilities across the energy and maritime sectors. Our team expanded to more than 33 staff and contractors across Melbourne, Singapore and Indonesia, strengthening our ability to support complex projects across multiple regions and delivery phases.

Growth Across Energy Transition and LNG Infrastructure

A major milestone in 2025 was INCITIAS assuming full EPCM responsibility for a photocatalytic reactor hydrogen production plant in South Australia. The project has now successfully achieved first hydrogen production, representing an important step in Australia’s emerging hydrogen ecosystem.

In Indonesia, our LNG Cluster Project PMC continued to progress across five satellite small-scale LNG regasification locations, supported by a central FSRU and small-scale LNG carrier distribution. This program reflects INCITIAS’ growing role in integrated LNG infrastructure delivery across Southeast Asia.

FSRU Advisory and Marine Infrastructure

Building on the successful FSRU award for the S2T terminal, INCITIAS transitioned into supporting Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG) through the shipyard design phase. We will continue to support this project through to commissioning in 2028.

Our advisory teams also provided FSRU support for an Irish FSRU project, for GNI, in partnership with Ramboll and Sofregaz. In Australia, we delivered verification engineering for marine infrastructure at both the Port of Brisbane and Port of Melbourne and supported the Port Kembla FSRU development through commissioning.

Europe: Critical Infrastructure, Cyber and Functional Safety

In Europe, and particularly in Germany, INCITIAS continued in 2025 to advise German LNG Terminal GmbH (Brunsbüttel LNG) and EPC contractor China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSGN) on compliance with evolving critical infrastructure and cyber security legislation. This work is driven by the NIS 2 Directive and the Critical Entities Resilience Directive (EU) 2022/2557.

Our approach integrates regulatory requirements with recognised international and industry standards, including ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, API 780 security risk assessment, IMO ISPS port facility security assessments and IEC functional safety standards. Together with our partners Schäfer Group, Secunet AG and INFODAS GmbH, we have developed a structured and auditable methodology which aligns cyber security, physical security and functional safety within a single framework to support demonstrable operational readiness.

OEM Delivery and EPC Execution

In the OEM space, INCITIAS is currently building ten reels with diameters from 600mm to 10m, with load monitoring, electrical and hydraulic drive. This year’S highlight was the awarding of an offloading system for a French Energy company for a West African FPSO.

INCITIAS Naval architects also completed tandem offloading and mooring analyses for FPSOs in Nigeria and are currently addressing water intake riser systems for two FLNG facilities destined for Mozambique.

Ongoing Global Advisory and Specialist Engineering

In Singapore, INCITIAS secured work in 2025 for the early development phase of JERA’s Hawaii FSRU project, covering site selection, preliminary subsea pipeline design, onshore receiving facilities and FSRU scoping. We also continue to provide subject matter expert support to Gaz-System S.A. for FSRU projects via our partner Sea Global.

Additional work during the year included:

  • LNG bunkering facilities for Muar LNG within Malaysia’s Maharani Energy Freeport, Johor
  • Regulatory advisory for FLNG developments in PNG
  • FPSO disconnection and field abandonment engineering in the Philippines
  • Multiple HAZOP studies for gas facilities across Southeast Asia

Long-Term Performance and Asset Integrity

Towards the end of 2025, our team undertook a site visit in Peru to inspect a sulphuric acid import terminal originally delivered by INCITIAS in 2018. Six years into operation, it was encouraging to see the robustness of the original design. The project remains the longest floating hose application to date, with a total hose length of approximately 800 metres.

Looking Ahead

We thank our clients and partners for their trust and collaboration throughout 2025, including Technip, Trelleborg, Muar LNG, Sulawesi Cluster Consortium, Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG), Saipem, Martano, Squadron Energy, Sparc Hydrogen, Wison Offshore & Marine, Port of Melbourne, Port of Brisbane, CS Gas North S.L., German LNG Terminal GmbH, Etasca, World Carrier Corporation, Black & Veatch, AG&P Manila, Ramboll, Sofregaz, Schäfer Group, Secunet AG, INFODAS GmbH, Sea Global and Gaz-System S.A.

We wish our clients, partners and colleagues a safe festive season and a healthy and successful New Year.
